Janice and Jeanetta are both members of the National Association of College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) as independent college consultants. They co-founded CAPSA, Inc. in 1999 and have traveled extensively together visiting colleges and universities across the country. While based in Austin, Texas, they have worked with students from Arizona, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado and numerous other cities in Texas including El Paso, Midland, and Beaumont. In addition to their business, they previously worked with My USA Education as college consultants for students in China who desire to attend college in the United States. They attend regular conferences and seminars to increase their expertise.
Janice Brown graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and teacher certification. She taught elementary and middle school in the Austin Independent School District. Janice was a substitute teacher in the Eanes School District, former Eanes Elementary Booster Club President and member of the Westlake High Guidance Committee. She and her husband are parents of two grown children. Their son is an attorney practicing energy and real estate law in San Antonio (B.A. Washington and Lee University; J.D. St. Mary’s University) while their daughter is a Boston based entrepreneur (B.B.A. SMU; M.B.A. Vanderbilt University).
Jeanetta Sanders received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from Abilene Christian University and a Master’s of Library Science (M.L.S.) from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. Jeanetta has worked as a research librarian, a school librarian, a journalist and a personnel administrator for a Fortune 500 company. She served for six years on the Eanes School Board where she was President for one year. Jeanetta and her husband are the parents of a son who works in advertising/film production in Los Angeles (B.B.A. Baylor University; M.F.A. Florida State University) while their daughter is an Austin corporate licensing attorney (B.A. Wake Forest University; J.D. Southern Methodist University).
